WHAT WE DO

Welcome to the VCMA - a vibrant community working to preserve the unique character of Valencia Corridor.

In 2024, our association is committed to fostering a thriving business environment for all its members by activating efforts such as:

  • Supporting corridor individuality by actively opposing Formula Retail stores coming to the neighborhood and aggressively defending our independent roots.

  • Working with City supervisors to add new legislation for conditional use of full-service restaurants on the Corridor.

  • Advocating for Bike Lane Management, Graffiti Prevention, Vacancies, and investigating a Community Benefit District.

  • Promotion and marketing of businesses and the Corridor.

  • Maintain a Member-Only Facebook Group.

JOIN OR SUPPORT THE VCMA

  • Member ($49/year)

    Eligibility. Merchants with a retail presence on the Valencia Corridor actively and legally sell retail products or wares, tangible personal services, food, beverages, and/or entertainment.

    Benefits. Members receive all the benefits provided by the VCMA, including voting rights.

  • Associate Member ($39/year)

    Eligibility. Businesses that do not qualify to be Members but are located within VC or outside, including financial institutions, professional services, and office-only businesses.

    Benefits. Associate Members enjoy all VCMA benefits but without voting rights.

  • Fan ($?)

    Eligibility. Non-eligible individuals or businesses for Members or Associate Members who would like to support the VCMA with annual dues.

USE OF MEMBERSHIP FEES

Your membership fees have a real impact on the VCMA's work. These funds go towards:

  • Administrative support of the VCMA.

  • Social media, public relations, marketing & website support.

  • Championing causes supporting our mission.

  • Sponsoring 2 or 3 annual Corridor PR events: Currently, we offer the Annual Sidewalk Sale and the Holiday Block Party. Members who participate will be included in our web/poster/PR copy and receive notable discounts on costs, if any, for events.

  • Member Socials: Meet and network with your neighbors. Have a beverage and a snack while you learn about how others are succeeding on the Corridor.

  • Neighborhood enhancement, beautification, and safety.

  • Much, much more.
